We've been down in Alabama for over a week now, and so far we've juiced a total of: 72 carrots (about four 1 lb. bags), 16 apples (about 2 bags), 8 large cucumbers, 6 sweet potatoes, 6 bananas, 2 bags of grapes, 2 cartons of strawberries, 2 avocados, 2 peaches, 1 turnip, 1 full stalk of celery, 1 full head of broccoli, 1/4 head of lettuce (to try it out), 1/4 head of red cabbage (tasted great!), and a few handfuls of spinach.
Except for one glass, every drink has been pretty tasty! Experimenting with different fruits and veggies has led us to make better juices and fantastic smoothies. Papa enjoys the juices, and Ninny is getting used to the tastes. She seems reluctant to be enthusiastic about juicing, but I attribute that to her taste buds and not her willpower. I know without a doubt that within 6 months Ninny will be down at least 50 lbs. She hasn't seen any progress yet, but that's normal. I'd say about a month in she'll be noticing! If she can lose just 15 lbs., she can cut her knee pain in half! I believe with ALL my heart that my grandparents will not only improve their health, but also continue to love for years to come. Sometimes I imagine how happy we will all be when my entire family is on vacation together and my grandparents are still around to see their great-grandchildren grow up!
