Ninny's 2nd Surgery

Last weekend my Uncle Tim and Aunt Debbie came up from Louisiana to pack up my grandparents for the move down. My aunt came with me when we took Ninny and Papa to the doctors offices to get their medical records and to be released from care in Alabama. Well, when we went to ninny's orthopedic doctor to see about her knee, they showed us that her knee cap was over to the left side of her leg! Apparently the tissue holding her knee cap in place had ripped on the inside of her leg. We would have never known had they not taken those X-rays; Ninny wasn't in any pain. Thank goodness! So now for the next part- this is only corrected through surgery. So Ninny's second (and hopefully last) surgery is set for this Thursday. I've taken off work and mom is going to come down for the weekend so we can take care of Ninny in the hospital. After that she'll go back to the Nursing Home for Rehab for about 3 weeks. Then she'll move down to Louisiana. My aunt and uncle took my Grandpa down there already so he won't be so confused and can settle in to life down there. So far he's enjoying it and is doing well. I miss him already. This just means that there will be more visits to LA in my future though! And in the meantime, it's nice to have more time with Ninny.
