Here's to a new year

The holidays are over and it's time to get back to reality. This week I'm starting to record videos of life at home with Micah. I want to show how smart he is! Micah is such a good signer and can communicate very well, if you take the time to understand him. I also want to start signing songs every week for practice. Honestly, living at home after college was probably the worst idea. Mom and I fight all the time because we can't get on the same page, and living away from my friends and boyfriend is also emotionally stressful. Therefore, I can only make the best out of where I am in life right now. I hope recording videos of my interactions with Micah will show the progress he's made by communicating through sign language. I also hope to become a skilled signer of music, and ultimately make my own music videos! This will be the year I become fluent in ASL. I want to immerse myself in Deaf culture, make Deaf friends, and start on my journey to becoming a great interpreter. This is also the year to do everything I've never "had time" to do. Psh. Life is short, so make the best out of it! To a new year and new beginnings! Carpe Diem.
